Sitting out on the patio this morning, I saw the works of mother nature. Sitting at the table drinking my cup of tea and doing a little soldering on a wiring harness that I was making, looking out into the yard at sparrows eating at the bird feeder and a few doves feeding on the ground when all of a sudden most of the birds fly off, here comes a red tailed hawk and takes a sparrow right off the perch of the feeder lands of the fence and then flies off with the sparrow clamped in one foot. That is the third bird that I have seen a hawk catch in the last couple of months. the firs one was a dove that he caught in midair.

Hawk's Gotta eat also.........When any Hawk comes in my yard the Crows gang up on them and chase them away, And Ratter violently i might add...

Only the alert ones survive ! Natures way of population control. Also keeps the poop under control

I had a hawk try to get one of my chickens in their caged area. Had chicken wire overhead except for one small spot where a door to their coop opened. So I couldn't cover that small spot yet the hawk saw it and went for it. The chickens all went into the coop and the hawk was trapped. The bastard put up a fight just trying to free him. It's never happened since. Maybe he told the others not to waste their time going for what looks like an easy dinner. Now that I've said, it will probably happen again.

I was riding out of my development and about 50 ft in front of me was a squirrel running back and forth trying to decide which way to go as I approached when a hawk swoops down out of nowhere and grabs the squirrel and flies off with it.

We had a hawk get in our batting cages a while back .I was heading down to the restaurant to get my morning coffee when I seen some feathers just outside the back of the cages. Didn't think too much of it , but on way way back I saw him in the corner up high in the net . There were two guys in the cages hitting ,and never seen him . I called my son to give me a hand and get him out . The video is on here , but it doesn't tell the whole story . It was a real chore to get him out .

The highway of life is littered with dead Squirrels who couldn't make a decision......
