RIVCO Armrests

Hi, About one year ago, with a lot of "requests" from my Wife, I purchased/installed a set of RIVCO Passenger Armrests on our 2014 Tri Glide. The armrests are solidly built with a "second to none" mirror chrome finish. Both armrests pivot outward when getting on/off the Trike and are held in place by rear "screw-turn" tension bolts and attracting magnets mounted to the inside of the armrest's mounting bracket. When traveling at higher speeds, the only problem I have with the armrests is the screw bolts' tension and magnets' attraction, located at the rear of the armrests, are not strong enough to hold the armrests in place due to the forward portion armrests' vibration created when traveling with no passenger and their lack of arm placement used to keep the armrests in place.

This results with the oncoming wind catching each armrest and pivoting them to the rear near the Tour Pak. After consideration, I have thought about braiding/weaving some paracord/leather stripping using medium bracelet fasteners to secure their ends to the Trike's passenger seat hand rests and the RIVCO chromed arm rest extensions near the arm rest pads to keep the RIVCO armrests in place when traveling with no passenger. Does anybody have any additional suggestions?

Get ahold of Rivco and see what they have to say about it, I would imagine they should stay in the position you have them reagardless of wind or what every causing this, I don't have them or anything like them since I don't have a passenger

My Harley ones do something similar .. I just carry a small bungie cord to hold them in.

I had HD arm rest on my Ultra Classic, had to use bungie cords to control them. When I bought my trike last month I had them install Kuryakyn's and they work great. They also come with a cup holder on each side. Makes for a happy wife:-)

Same as the last two...a small bungee cord hooked to the grab rail.

I have the same armrests. They came with a thin wrench to snug down the pivot bolts. Look under the head of the pivot bolt and you will see a nut. After tightening the bolts I do not have a problem with them swinging out anymore.
