BTW I am not affiliated to the sheepskin trade, just a comfortable user.

Understand, thanks for the details. OldBill
I've gone the Mean City route as well as dead sheep. The sheep was just as good as far as I'm concerned. But it does get way too warm in the summer for me. Absolutely great in the winter. I've been warned about getting it wet. Fortunately I've not had that problem but mine came with quick connections. So if I need to remove it quickly...

Whoops Ronnie, got you confused with Captron.
You asked me how far I have ridden. I can't go 50 miles without getting off of the Ibike with a sore ass. If I can find a way of feeling comfortable like I do in my car, I would love to drive it to florida and back and I'm in Michigan. I would much rather find a product I can replace the foam in the seat with instead of just putting something on top.
I didn't mean in one trip, but how many hours altogether. As I say your rear toughens up the more your ride.
To be brutally honest, if you can't get more than 50 miles without agony, no insert or covering will get you more than 70-80 miles, unless as I say you stick it out and get your rear used to the saddle.
My other suggestion would be a much wider custom seat, if you are comfortable in a car.

I hate to do it, but I disagree. My last 2 bikes I couldn't go more than 50 miles. One I had Mean City Cycle remake it with their double foam thing and the other I put a Ultimate saddle on. In both cases I could go tank to tank after. That's over 150 miles and more for both. Some factory saddles are just that bad and just about anything you do will help.

Please feel free to disagree! You are speaking from experience. I just don't want Greg336 paying for and trying this and that, and not getting any real result.
My Valk seat is very good as is. It's just that I got used to the sheepskin. It also spreads the load a lot around my bum bones.

Oh good, then I'm not 'losing it'. I feel better.
