For the last 4 weeks I've been riding my Softail & Sporty, along with a few other (Customer) 2 wheel bikes.
I've not been purposely ignoring my Tri Glide, just been riding the 2 wheelers recently.
Last night Mary and I decided to go up to Beale Street for Bike Night. Being as we would be coming home after dark, and riding on some country roads, we decided to take the Tri Glide.
WOWOWWOW! This is probably the longest stretch I've gone in 5-6 years without riding a TG.
The first 30 minutes of riding I was amazed how SMOOTH & Effortless it was to ride compared to a 2 wheeler.
It is one thing to know it, quite another to experience it.
The difference in how smooth the engine (M8) is compared to a Twin Cam or Sporty Evolution was startling. Power was delivered much lower and smoother too!
The 14" shocks on the TG are amazing at how they eat up small and large bumps compared to the modestly upgraded suspension on the Softail and Sporty.
Equally surprising was how effortless, in general, the steering and riding was on the TG compared to the 2 wheelers.
Of course, I "knew" this, but experiencing it after a 4 week lay-off was quite an eye-opener.
After about 30 minutes riding I was totally acclimated to the improved riding experience...but those first 20-30 minutes...what a shocker!
