I have one on mine, and it gives a lot assist it steering, especially in the mountain road. Can you share the price of the 2005 GW/Road Smith you are looking considering?

    ,

You do want the steering kit, Big difference, My ride is a 98 GW with a Champion solid axel, I have a 4.5 degree steering kit, Almost like power steering, much harder steering without the kit, Well worth the price of the kit, I am not sure if one can get a kit other than a 4.5 degree, I have been told if you go more than that, You loose to much feel in the front end, You want some resistance, Hope this is help full,

What kell said, get the steering kit, think Road Smith calls it EZ Steer, if you don't get it, you won't be happy. It's the option they offer that really works and well worth the extra $.
