    My first thing on the list is passenger arm rests for the wife. Waiting for an after market to get it together, I'd rather not pay $400 plus install for OEM BRP arm rests.

    Oh yes, I've wrapped my mind around 'more $' before I embarked on this new Spyder journey. I just need to spread the purchases over a few months, but I will get there; I want to be sure it's more of a 'need' purchase than a 'fun' buy, at least for a while. Man, this mc/trike/3 wheeler, whatever the term, is such a change for a smooth ride, an easy ride, there is nothing about this thing that is difficult, or 'rough' in my opinion. I'm just glad I've had this opportunity to experience in my life time.

    The fun is just beginning. I liked it for me , it was way less fatigued after a long ride.

    I am sure you have read all the tire remarks. I really didn't like the OEM tires but they work as advertised.

    I am trying that new Kanine Tire on the rear now , hope that works out for me.

    I need to check my tires to find out what's stamped on the side, just been busy riding, feeling the rush. Haven't done much 'poking around' just do what comes naturally. :>)

    I never had a problem with the stock tires that came with my Spyder or my Tri's and now my Slingshot ...Yet when i was on the Spyder Forum' And now The Tri-Glide Forum and the Slingshot Forum ' Thats all i hear about when someone talk tires how bad they are..?......

    A few months ago when I was really researching the Spyder I recall that someone pointed out that there were other resources for Spyder after-market accessories with more reasonable prices than Can-Am. Since I didn’t actually buy a Spyder I filed that information in my memory data banks file titled “Dang-it... where did I see that?”.

    Hopefully someone “in the know” will chime in with the info..
    New course heading Mr. Sulu: ...2nd star to the right and straight on til morning...!!

    Last month went with Paws and I test rode a 2019 RT Limited. Liked some features but didn't care for the body roll and the twerky steering. The power steering would take some getting used to after putting 30K miles on my Venture/Hannigan.

    Last week went back to look at the 2020 model. For the first time ever I began to like the CanAm. I'm seriously considering getting the 2020 RT Limited.

    Will be going to the local Yamaha dealer and checking how they handle consignments. May even advertise locally.

    You just never know the crazy stuff I will do

    Trouble, you may have already read my comments, but a real quick refresh. I traded my 2005 GW w/2012 RoadSmith conversion for the 2020 RTL and I am quite happy with my decision. This is one fine machine, rides like on a cloud with plenty of luggage space. Did I take beating on the trade, probably, but all that counts is the out the door bottom line number, and I was satisfied with that. Could I have waited until later in the year and saved a few $, probably, but I didn't. I took about a 30 min demo ride two up with the wife, and that was all it took. Needless to say, I now do not frequent gl1800riders forum with their new format which i don't like anyway. I can tell you, my decision was not impulsive, I've been lurking in the Spyder world for a couple years, the 2020 has the upgrades that I've been looking for. No regrets, no look backs. Cheers in your decision.

    Bill... once you get a couple of tanks filled... please give us a rundown on the mpg.

    The salesman told us 40mpg. Another source said 29mpg in the real world....

    Please let us know what your mpg has been. Many thanks!

    Apples to Oranges here' But i had an 08 Spyder..And i was on the Spyder Forum till about 2013 ish and then asked to leave.. ..32 was all i got on the Highway....

    Gotta be careful what people tell you....

    OK Paws, will do. I sort got an Idea, I think, when the needle was a half a tank, I decided the miles by 3.5, I have no idea how close that will be, so I'll be doing a couple tanks test just for grins, and keep a fun record of tanks along the way sort to see what the avg might be. This is not some scientific thing, gives an idea how the engine is performing over the long haul. In my wildest dreams I don't think this thing is ever gonna pump out 40 mpg, but who knows? By the way good readers, when's the last time you can remember such interest here on TT about an upgrade on any three wheeler that was 6 pages and 58 comments? Hmmm....Cheers.

    I will say you should get between 30 and 40 MPG.. It will change but will stabilize depending on your driving habits.. Eco mode you may get a half to 1 MPG more. Never found it useful as found myself staring at the dash when to shift.

    Geez, local shop in Kerrville wants 15% for a consignment. I know I'm not in NH any longer but most shops take 10% and I even sold a bike in a shop that only charged me $50 per month that it was on their showroom floor.

    Also they really don't want to list for more then the NADA combined value. I have my own value based on what I have invested.....some say you'll never get it, I say you dont know until you try.

    I may list it here once I update the parts and accessories list. I have around $40K invested so feel something in the neighborhood of 18K to 19K is reasonable.
