Strange vibration on Valkyrie trike

Did about a 225 miles round trip today. As long as I stayed around 55 to 60 all was ok. Would be running 65 to 70 sometimes it would vibrate. Now it didn't do this till I installed new tires. Got thinking I put 3 oz dyna beads in each tire. It was it would balance sometimes and then would vibrate. Like the beads was working and then wouldn't. Got to reading and have found on the net where others was having the same problem. Broke the tires down this afternoon and removed all the beads and will carry the tires tomorrow and have them spin balanced. Will up date the post one balanced and mounted and test ride. I just hope I don't have a tire out of round.

What size rear tires on the trike? I find the bead balance method great for narrower tires like 70 series car tires, but not so good when you get into 60 or lower profiles.

Three ounces in each tire, maybe not enough? I use 4 or 5 ounces of bead like material in each rear P215/70R15 tire on the trike. Smooth as silk.

Actually, not beads, I use Airsoft Red Jacket .22 cal hard plastic BBs. Cheap in a tub at W-World and easy to vacuum out through side bead area after breaking loose using small diameter vacuum wand. Rinse and reuse. Weight is weight.

Problem solved. I'm running 215/65/15 tires. The tires I put on had a red dot and a yellow dot. The red dot is suppose to line up with the valve stem. They was lined up that way when I installed them with the beads. Took the beads out last night and carried them to my buddy. First tire showed to need 4 1/2 oz of weight with the tire lined as it should be. Rotated the tire 180 degrees and only took 1 1/2 oz. Had to do both tires like that. Either my rims or off or they marked the red dots wrong. Of course the tires came from over seas. Test rode and running like a dream now. I have been running beads for 15 years and this is the first I have run into this. Maybe more of them would have fixed the problem, but spin balance for me from now on with the rear tire.
