Very nice, congrats.
I'm getting old and have been looking for a new to me ride, big item was more comfort ... Specifically, an SUV that has enough rear area to sleep in at a KOA type place when on trips. Also ... It would need to be able to pull the trike on the trailer.
I was looking for some creature comforts .... my Toyota Tacoma was okay, but, didn't even have intermittent wipers. No out side air temp gauge ... basically it had only the basics ... was even called the base model ... so ... while helping Mom and Harley ... I have been looking for this mythical beast.
I've had the three dealers I trust looking for me. So, around 4:30 pm Saturday, I got a call that one of them had something that fit my "Wants List" and then some. I made arrangements to go see it this morning.
It's a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit with a 3.0L ECO Diesel, in white ... with just about every creature comfort you can ask for. The only thing it was missing was a receiver hitch which I negotiated into the deal and will be installed soon.
This thing has a 7200# towing capacity. Not sure I'd pull that much with this short of a wheelbase, but, that's what it's rated at. Full leather interior, the owners manual is 2" thick ... LOL ... I'll probably never figure out what all the buttons do. It's not as tall as the Toyota so easier to get into. Mom will have an easier time getting in and out. It has the front, rear and side collision warning system, as well as, the front anti collision thingie that will brake to prevent a collision. Like I said ... not sure what all the other buttons do, so, time will tell how I do. I did get the phone to sync with it while I was waiting for the paperwork to be done.
So .. since I know it didn't happen without pictures, here ya go:
The rear seats fold flat and I can lay fully stretched out ... and with the full moon/sun roof front and back (only the front opens) ... I can watch the stars ... it even has a converter that can power my CPAP ... although I think I'll just run an extension cord to the camp ground ... LOL ... I have a futon that will work very well back there ...
Not great pics with the shade, but, by time we piddled around with the deal it was like 5pm before I left. Swung by Freddy's Steak Burgers and got Mom some dinner and called it a day.
Very nice, congrats.

You are going to enjoy that rascal. Does it have front and rear cameras?
I know that when I bought my 2018 Ford Explorer Sport that all the technology was rather intimidating but the owner’s manual and I are VERY good friends now and it has many many paper clipped pages...LOL! STILL don’t know it all...doubt that I ever will.
I like the color!

Very nice. Up your way 4wd is a must have. Never could figure out those that tried to live with 2wd in snow country. That's like not carrying candles and wool blankets from mid Oct to mid April. Items one just never left home w/o IMHO. Flatlanders .......

The previous owner was a corporate VP ... the wouldn't tell me who ... LOL ... couple of little scratches and one dent near the rear hatch ... I think my paintless dent buster guy can fix that.
This thing has everything ... I'm afraid to touch anything ... LOL.
I figured out some new stuff. When you shut off the ignition, it lowers the suspension, pulls the steering wheel in and up, all so you can get out easier. Puts it all back when ta start it.
White was a must ... after three black vehicles ... anything but white was a non starter.
I don't foresee any stumps in my future. But, ya never know.
We don't get all that much snow here ... just a couple times a year ... but ... whenever I leave town ... I bring a survival kit ...
My car mechanic has already inspected it and told me he will take care of everything ... He's the only one I trust.
Congrats Fuzzy! Enjoy that new to you Jeep! Looks nice!

Congrats Fuzzy,
I myself just bought a diesel two weeks ago. I got a 2019 Silverado 2500HD with 6.6 duramax. This beast has a 38 gallon fuel tank. Put 33 gallons in it the other day....$100.70 OUCH. Good news it gets better mileage then my Tundra did. Once I get some miles on it the mileage should improve.
I'll be towing a 33' Heartland Trail Runner Toy Hauler with my trike and everything else I own. This will be my home.
Looking forward to hearing how many MPG you get as well as how often you need to fill the DEF tank.
Nice buy Alan, tho it will be hard to see in a snow storm

The DEF tank is rated at 10K miles .. the owners manual says to fill it every oil change. I have 86 miles on it since the fuel fill .... and it still says 385 mile range ... 24.6 gallon tank ... $61 was shocking enough.
I'm retired ... don't need to go out when it snows ...
Edit: I edited the DEF tank capacity. I hit a 9 instead of a 0 ... so it is really 10k, but, still better than the length between oil changes.
