To answer a few questions that i was asked .......

Once you get in it its like driving a sports car....Ride comfort the stock shocks are like Pogo sticks, hard pogo sticks, I 86th the stock shocks and add adjustable coil-over shocks......After a few thousand miles and slowly adjusting them the ride is acceptable.

Storage theres a compartment [Locking] behind each seat....Which is enough for me i ride solo...Getting in and of it out is a little tricky ...But i have the roof so i can grab the cross bar and Sky hook my way out....I'm 5'11 and 185 + -....So far the only service i've had to do in almost 10k was to change the oil......Its a GM engine just like changing oil in a car...Oil filter on top drain plug on the bottom...Clean and simple...

MPG...28/31....[10Gal tank]....

Traction, If you get on it hard from a stop you'll smoke the rear tire off...Once rolling it will accelerate fast enough to get you in trouble real fast...

Also Slingshot dealers are few and far between, At least in my neck of the woods...Mine is 80 miles one way.....There was one about 20 miles from me but he stoped selling Slingshots....He said he couldn't sell enough in the winter to justify the space they took up in his showroom and service area ....His main business is Indian and ATV's...

How is the Slingshot handle in the rain? :xzqxz: Does the cockpit get sprayed on from the wheels?

No spray from the wheels.......I have the Slingshade [Roof] and water will come in over the windshield, But at speeds over 35, The rain will go over the top and out the back...

But your still going to get wet....As far as rain you have to be easy on the gas petal , No heavy foot inputs , If you do lose traction the traction control will kick in immediately ..My Tri- Glides were better in the rain because you can't spin the rear wheels like you can with the one wheel and 175 HP that the Slingshot has...

Stickyer tire help any or lower the tire pressure?

I figure you still get wet but being close to the wheel was wondering if the water was sheaded away from the driver and passenger

You could use glue and it wouldn't help...My stock rear tire is 255/30/20....Any lower air pressure ..[I run 28] and you'll almost be running on the rim..Polaris missed the boat when they didn't make it front wheel drive...That would have helped in the traction department , And also eliminated the belt drive and the angle drive crap back there..

With the roof you get wet..[Ask anyone who has a convertible and what happens if they get caught in the rain with the top down].....Without a roof you'll get soaked.....But not to worry the interior is water proof....The seats are porous the water runs through them and they dry quickly...

Just to add.....Would i get another Slingshot...No.....

But not not because i don't like it.....Back in 08 I bought a new 08 Spyder [I still had two two wheelers] But that was my way of easing away riding two wheelers exclusively' With my first Tri-Glide [2011] i sold one bike, With my 2017 Tri-GlIde , The last bike and the 2011Tri-Glide Went.......After the Sling is gone, Who knows.....Corvette' Mustang GT or a Fiat Spider..........

Maybe a VAnderhall in your future?

Still have to get my ass to the dealer someday to test ride a Slingshot..

But I better stay away too :D

OK Back to Slingshot :D

Is it true a automatic Slingshot is in store for 2020? Or Semi Auto?

That seems to be right, Im on a Slingshot forum and thats the scuttlebutt going around.....And if so that will increase sales ....
