That was me. Vmax fork tubes are 4" longer than Road Stars , but the total length is similar. When you rake the front end sits lower. Most people use extenders on the tubes. I like going fast in the twisties so the forks get a workout and can egg shape the fork threads at the joint, so they leak.
oh sure NOW u tell us... lol
just put a sidecar on my * and made a set of extensions
i have at least 3 sets of max tubes ....
oh well
Well my wife rode over 200 miles today and had only one issue with my work. Seems the front suspension travel was more than I measured and the outer tubes hit the front fender skirts. Not a big deal as I can clean up the damage and re-glass the inside where one cracked. The major issue is with the starting system or possibly charging system. She stopped for a break and the bike wouldn't turn over. Luckily someone was able to jump her (that's funny right there) and the bike started right up. She rode until it was time to fill up and it happened again. Being next to a Battery Plus Store, she bought a new battery, started up and headed home. Of course the same thing happened after visiting her dad but was able to put the battery on a fast charger which got her home. Tomorrow I will do what I despise doing, ELECTRICAL !!!!! I'll begin by checking the main power wires from the battery to starter, starter relay, starter, and rectifier. If anyone has or had issues like this and have advice, I sure would take it. But in the end, she came home with a smile from ear to ear. THAT, made all the time and effort worth it. My Stratoliner is next!!!

My wife and I have been riding a lot and recently slowed down. So I am finally posting pictures of my wife's Roadstar. The base white and black is all I painted. The rest is was done by a professional.
