    Default custom kuryakyn highway pegs. whatta ya think ?

    So I thought I had the short arms, so I ordered a set of long arms. they were the same as what I had, but that's ok, because i had planned on using all of them to make a "custom" peg configuration. I just need some bolts and I'm probably gonna weld something together to keep the two arms from rotating.

    whatta ya think ???

    Nice ... if the bolt holding the two sets together is not stainless, you might want to swap it out ... don't ask how I know that ... LOL ... unless you only ride in sunshine and never wash it, it will rust.

    Edit: a nice chrome acorn nut on it might dress it up some.

    My first thought was, this is a great idea but needs a chrome acorn nut.

    How close is the cam / rocker covers?

    Looks great, only thing I'd likely change, is make me a pair of long arms from steel & have chromed (or powder-coated) to eliminate that middle arm joint. Make the long reach in one arm. I'm guessing those arms or extensions are really chrome over a pot like metal, I'd be wondering what with vibrations, weight of lower leg & foot, road bumps, when (not if) the extended arm might fail (break), dropping my foot unexpectedly onto my paint or the roadway?

    Those arms fit into "notched" mounts ... unless the bolt comes all the way off .. they are gonna stay there ... not sure about the middle connection, but I think they are too ... but the one attaching them to crash bars isn't gonna move.

    Oh... I figured as much. I'd be inclined to think in terms of a sudden break of the arm itself nearest the attachment point on the bar. Those arms are castings, with fancy cutout sections. Adding two together makes for a long arm from attachment to foot peg. Add in that he's sitting behind between them, legs out at angles, so over time, vibrations, miles, I think it only a matter of time. I hope it doesn't break on him, but if it does I'll never know it.

    Well, I finised fabricating a piece for the middle joint. Gonna take it out for a spin tomorrow. I'll upload pics when I get a chance.
