2016 Purple Fire Harley Tri-Glide
Wow ... Only $8500 ... guessing plus labor ... If it comes assembled ... can't be too tough to install.
Interesting . . . but I'll pass for that price and oh yeah voided warranty and most likely ESP.
DFT has one too for the TG. Probably not exact but you get the point.
Been thinking about this since it was first posted ...
1) wouldn't do this on a Tri with a warrantee
2) if I'm not doing a Tri with out a warrantee, why wouldn't I just convert an Ultra, guessing it would be cheaper
3) the big advantage IMHO to a tri or a can am for that matter ... factory products, all repair parts in one place and no problem getting a dealer to work on them
So ... IMHO ... in my case, I'd be better off selling my tri, buying a donor Ultra (these are getting to be a dime a dozen) or better yet, a Road Glide and converting it with an independent suspension. Just food for thought ...
Not trying to start an argument. I plan to check on the Mystery unit. They way I read it you replace the rear system on a Tri Glide with the IRS unit while retaining the stock HD body leaving an OE look and in my opinion higher quality paint work.

Before I spent $8,500 for IRS on my TG, I would consider selling it and doing what Alan said. I'm guessing there are some pretty nice Ultra's out there for $9,000 to $11,000 that have been kept in the garage and waxed for most of their short life. Convert one of those babies and you might have a much nicer ride for a ton less money!
Current: 2019 Trike (custom 130ci T-Man kit with Darkhorse bottom end)
This even though a little higher priced ... be a great trike ...

I like the idea of IRS but not at that price. I'll just stick with D & K and do their mods
Vintage 09' Vivid Black, Boyesen X force intake, DK Customs DIY external breather, PV tuner, Mighty Mite love Jugs,Titanium Wrapped Header pipe, Khrome Werks 2+2 Wide Sweepers, DK 2" tank lift deluxe, Air Deflectors, Rear Bumper, Fender Chrome trim, Kuri. Rear lights, 9" LRS recurve flat top wind screen, LED headlight and spots, Hubcaps rear wheels
Miss Mysterious...
2015 Mysterious Red Tri Glide...
Vance&Hines head pipe w/Rhinehart slipons...Slipstream Collection...DK Lift...11" Clearview w/ recurve...HD chrome Enforcers w/Goodyear Triple Tread Assurance...just a touch of chrome & LEDs...
I'd consider doing it if the handling and ride are everything they claim it to be. I've got my 2014 setup just about the way I want it and with a few motor mods and an improved suspension it would be better than buying new and starting over with mods.
This look like it won't work for bikes with a drive shaft... It doesn't show a Honda at all..............
