They are asking $8K, I made my best offer, if it's not on consignment, I have a chance. The salesman didn't know. This time of year the owner might take it if he owns it. He does a fair percentage of consignments. We'll see. I guess I'm a decent customer ... LOL ... I have my salesman's cell phone number and he has told me to call anytime ... I called on Sunday afternoon ... in my current state, retired, I actually thought it was Saturday ... LOL. He wasn't the least upset, or, he's a really good salesman ...

Hmmmm ... maybe I've shared too much of myself ... LOL ... Although I haven't "written the check" I did allow them $1000 as a deposit from my debit card. All deals I make with my dealer are always done with a deposit that is refundable if the bike isn't as advertised or the test ride doesn't go so well ... that's never happened. The dealer knows me well and wouldn't even offer a bike that doesn't meet my requirements. We've gotten to the point that they don't even run my card anymore ...

I agree ... if I wanted to spend 8k, he has a white 04 gl1800 with 10k miles ... I'm guessing at some point ... either one will come down over the winter, I can wait.
