Joe, I started a thread on Bike Week 2020. Let me know if your interested.
"Who all is going to the 2020 Daytona Bike Week. Friday March 6th to Sunday March 15th. I am looking to set up a ride if we can get enough bikes. I also have a lot of parking at my shop for trailers and 4 wheelers if some need a place to park for the week or just a few days. Let me know and I can start setting up something."
Jack, are you going to 2020 Daytona Bike Week. Friday March 6th to Sunday March 15th. I am looking to set up a ride if we can get enough bikes. I also have a lot of parking at my shop for trailers and 4 wheelers if some need a place to park for the week or just a few days. Let me know and I can start setting up something.
I'm a couple hours south riding on bike week maybe a bit longer, but I've been there many times, nothing changes, yeah lots of people and motorcycles, not impressed, I don't do that any more.
I have a local friend who has gone to Bike Week and Biketoberfest every year for longer than I can recall . . . and he stays for the entire week. I've been once and once to Sturgis during bike week. Honestly I just don't get it. Having to contend with large crowds, traffic, overpriced everything is just not what I enjoy. Now if I was 'local' to the area I might pop in for a morning or afternoon just to check things out. But to travel 000s of miles, no thanks.
I much prefer the times I've been in these same areas but not during the events. Then I can really enjoy what the area has to offer . . . and oh yeah, the rides most of all. Just my $.02.
Oh yes, at one of the 'entertainment centers', $6 for a can of beer, plus the 'big tip'. Nope, I've seen it all, I'm done.
