I ordered a kit through a local dealer in September. We laid down about ten grand. So far the dealer knows nothing and there is no response from Roadsmith after repeated emails. Did I just lose my money ?

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
I would call instead of e-mailing.
Here's their number from the website. (800)331-0705

Roadsmith is a sponsor here at Trike-Talk......Maybe one of the moderators can help you to get in touch with them......

2019 Tri-Glide.......
Since September?? WOW! That’s a long time not to have SOME kind of response from SOMEBODY!! Did you pay the 10 Grand to the dealer himself or direct to Roadsmith?
Maybe try a polite, stern letter of inquiry via registered mail to Roadsmith? That MIGHT get someone’s attention since they will have to sign for it.
Keep us informed... so that others can be aware of the crux of the problem.. Thanks.

Scooter and Sassi....2 furrever.
Not the first time this has come up this year. Roadsmith has been running behind.I would say your money is safe.Your dealer is only telling you what they know and at this point is in the middle.
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Hey George - saw your post last night. I looked into the orders on-hand and I believe you ordered your kit through Ken's Custom? If so, we are starting the paint process later this week. So we are close to shipping. Sorry about the unusually long lead-time. It's been an extremely busy year. Shoot me an email to jim@roadsmithtrikes.com and I can keep you updated on progress.
Jim
Another good job, because of trike talk making the connection. Now a customer that can relax.

I'm also "totally impressed"............. Again this is the reason I choose roadsmith, as my trike provider ...........
Ronnie
Holy shi# Frank, **welcome back** ... I miss you my friend, Spring is coming, let's go for another ride! Are you back to the trailer yet? , OR still in Fla.??
YES Roadsmith did help me, (contacted me) BUT really nothing they could do, cause of what my installer did to me..... BUT helped me with answers that I needed...
Ronnie
When back, and it warms up, and "Scotty's" opens up again, let's meet for lunch...
Hi Ronnie, good to hear from you, not me with a trailer or Florida, I am in Williamsburg 20 minutes from you, maybe lunch soon in Springfield and yes Scotty's in the spring!
Glad you got the answer you wanted, that installer you were dealing with should be removed as a Roadsmith installer. Talk soon for get together. Happy New Year!
Frank
Oops! Sorry frank, Yep, I goofed, when I mentioned Fla..(I'm getting brain dead in my later years) I was thinking of another gent, when I sent this post back at you....without thinking.... I deserve thirty lashes with a wet noodle...Anyways when will Scotty's be open again this season??
Ronnie
The Kit was delivered in March. It's now April and the Trike conversion is complete. Pictures to follow. Thanks to Roadsmith and Ken in Peoria for your efforts !
1997 Valkyrie with RS kit
here are some shots of the '97 Valkyrie, Roadsmith conversion. I finished it in four days and was very straightforward. Simple machine, simple conversion. I don't think I would have done a new GW 1800.
