New 2019 Tri-Glide with a Road-Glide fairing

Was asked about a photo of the trike. Finally got around to posting one. Took a minute, had to resize and reread the sticky a few times. Didn't realize an iPhone took such big pictures but suspected the files were to large.

I really liked the 2018 Street-Glide special I traded in on this thing, hot rod red candy flake and blacked out, but it was time. Already got to many motorcycles and my knee ain't getting any younger. Besides I think it made my wife happier than it did me. She's been fussin on me getting a Tri-Glide since she got her 2011 in 2010.

Picked this one because it was different from the batwing and really like how it feels. Not as pretty as some of the other Road-Glide fairing trikes I've seen on here, but I'm proud of it.

Gonna miss the blacked out look, still have a few black parts laying around, I may or may not use them. Maybe go all chrome. For now just added a rider backrest.

Great looking trike Montgomery, how is the ride and steering vs a bat wing Tri glide?, did the dealer do the conversion to a road glide fairing, and if they did, did they charge you extra?, anyway great looking trike, enjoy!

I like it as it is "one of a kind".

Maybe more MPG due to less profile drag!

Hope that the steering stabilizer doesn't poke you in the Shin when turning to the left.

I've been wanting to do this for a couple years now. Having all kinds of problems finding a donor RoadGlide to make the conversion. Plenty of wrecked RoadGlides but guess where all have been hit.....yep, front end.

Damn good look'n ride.

I added a rake kit from Papa Zook and removed the stabilizer. I have no issues with head shake, but I also do not ride without at least one hand on a bar. Mine is a 2013 so I did not have to deal with the BCM issues the newer years will have to. I bet the only big issues one would encounter would be the nee of a different harness under the fairing. The components are basically the same just fairing you are mounting in is different. You would need to purchase the frame mount for the inner. Possibly different turn signals. The handle bars on the Road Glide have a narrower center section so either modify the current bars or new bars will be needed. If you do this DO NOT BUY the made in China replacement inner/outer fairings. The look and install is good but the material will crack from vibration within the first 6 months. Use HD fairing either used or new.

The mod is well worth it if you like the road glide look. I like the protection and handling besides the look much better then the batwing.
