Just to add the only key[s] i got with my Tri's were the barrel keys to lock the top box and trunk.....and to lock the ignition switch.........

So you can just turn the ignition on, start the bike and go???? Guessing you needy to lock the ignition every time you get off the bike??? Almost sounds like the PO hid a fob somewhere on the bike so he didn't need to carry it.
My 2016 came without security/fob. Didn't want to lock with barrel key every time so had security installed.

after looking it doesnt appear i have one..But i keep handle bars and ignition locked all the time so it doesnt matter to me..lol
Good luck. I have found, as I've gotten older, I like certain convenience items.
I don't lock the forks cause if I loose the key/fob, I can start it with the PIN code, but I can't unlock the forks. If I really feel the need, I have a disk lock I can use on the front brake disk.

Since 2011 when i got my first Trike with a FOB...I have yet to carry a key with me....If i have to park somewhere and feel it necessary to lock the trunk and top box i doin't keep anything in them that will cost more than having to replace broken jimmied locks...The FOB got me into the habit of not carrying a key....When i had a Victory i made an invisible key, and never took it out of the ignition switch whenever i parked....With my Slingshot the key stays hidden on it...I even parked at Walmart without taken the key from my Machines...I never have to go fumbling for keys that way.....

my Wife's 2016 Freewheeler didn't come with the security system either so the only security is locking the ignition and/or forks.
I put the security system on my Heritage so I'm accustom to not having to lock a bike up.
The price tag of $360 plus Dealer programming makes me think carrying a key might not be that much of a PITA anyway
