I bought my Tri in 2009 after the first edition of the bike was show off at Sturgis. I was able to go to the Lehman factory and see the first units being assembled and shipped. I did have to wait six months to get the maroon paint.
My wife and I did our first big ride in the last HOG tour from Chicago to LA on route 66. We started in Portland Oregon and rode to Chicago first. Overall that ride was just over 6,500 miles. Since then we only made much shorter rides.
That includes two great runs around our home state of Alaska. The bike has right at 20,000 miles on it.
I haul the trike to Sturgis on the back of my Dodge dual with the Amerilift in the back of the truck.
Overall I've been pretty satisfied with the Tri. My only issue is the trunk lock I posted about in the forum. I had Sampson pipes put on two years ago while I was at the factory outside Sturgis, SD. I'm now replacing the second set of rear brake pads. I use the cooper faced pads. Front tire was replaced at 15,000 while rear are still good to go many more miles.
I'll post a pic or two of the trike on the Amerilift once the 6 feet of snow melts.
