I have aftermarket (Hashpipes) exhaust on my trike. It looks like they left the air intake stock. I checked out DK Customs and noticed that there is a plethora of options to pick from. What should I look for in upgrades? Thanks!

Make sure you get a breather system to go with it , if you want the best out of the new air cleaner.
I have a Boyesen X force, Boyesen is an old dirt bike Performance parts Company. Working well for me.ride safe Fred
Vintage 09' Vivid Black, Boyesen X force intake, DK Customs DIY external breather, PV tuner, Mighty Mite love Jugs,Titanium Wrapped Header pipe, Khrome Werks 2+2 Wide Sweepers, DK 2" tank lift deluxe, Air Deflectors, Rear Bumper, Fender Chrome trim, Kuri. Rear lights, 9" LRS recurve flat top wind screen, LED headlight and spots, Hubcaps rear wheels
Here is a good overview LINK of the different options.
The 636v will not really fit on the Tri Glide, the 425 is a bit small at higher rpms, so that leaves the 587, 606 and we'll have the 828 soon for the TG.
The 587 and 606 perform virtually the same. The 587 does not stick out quite as far as the 606, so if that is a consideration for leg clearance.
I run the 606 currently, because I like the look of the cover I'm running. But I ran the 587 for years. They are both excellent performers.
Regarding the External Breather Option on the air cleaners...they all function the same as far as performance, so it just comes down to the look you like. For the Twin Cam I like the Stealth the best. You can see it HERE. For the M8 I like the Premium Discrete the best, you can see it HERE.

Kevin, is there one you can use and run your stock cover?
2018 115 anniversary Tri glide, 2 +2 narrow sweepers, DK comfort lift, DK tour pack relocation kit, pro action shocks, power vision, fuel moto air cleaner, s and s mufflers
I'm using the HD Stage One with a DK Customs DYI external breather.
I happen to love the old style oval, so, I added one off and older bike.
I think probably a high percentage of DK's air breather's will accept the stock cover's as well. But, I know the oval HD one and the 14 and up one will both fit with the HD Stage one breather.
Just as an oh by the way, some of the aftermarket will require a rain sock for inclement weather. Be sure to read the descriptions.
Yes. it is a popular option. You can see it at this LINK for the M8, like you have, and at this LINK for the Twin Cam.

Next question Kevin, or any of my trike talk family, I’m already running rc components slip on exhaust, can I also add the 606 air cleaner, or at that point will I need to run a tuner or am I still good running stock tune?

The short answer is yes. The M8 engines can easily get away with muffler changes BUT when you change the AC also it would be a good idea to be able to add more fuel, not to mention if you are not using HD parts including their tuner you will void your power train warranty

Hey Steve, sorry, just saw this post.
You can add the 606 air cleaner, along with your exhaust and you do not need a tuner. The M8 is not lean running like the Twin Cams, plus it adjusts for changes better than the Twin Cams.
You can see from very useful information about how well the M8 has their AFR set up at this LINK. There are AFR charts showing that even when going from stock to opened up exhaust and a free flowing air cleaner, the AFR stays in a very good spot.
That said, the M8, whether stock or with open exhaust and air cleaner, will benefit from an improved tune...but it is more from timing changes than AFR changes.
For an overview of tuning options, take a look at this Report LINK.

That is exactly what I did to my Boyesen X force intake made me nervous but I purchased the kit off Kevin. At first I ran the line out front not a good result it put junk all over the underside of the trike. I next ran it back with hose to hard line and down and out. Stay Safe Stay Home. Fred

I have DK's 606 Air Cleaner and their Premium Catch Can with EBS Breather installed on my Twin Cam Engine. These are working well for me and maintenance of the Air Cleaner and Catch Can is extremely easy.

It is DK's DYI kit (do it yourself) ... you do drill and tap, and you have to plug the little ports with high temp rtv or similar ... the kit is reasonably priced and has good instructions, including drill and tap sizes. Includes every thing you need. I upgraded to the CNC catch can because I left the filter hang a little low and going up the curb at the pet shop, crushed the filter. The CNC catch can is a nice upgrade that holds all the drippings for the 4k miles between oil changes. No more oil in the filter anymore.

Oh yea ... inside catch can at 4k
There are two foam rings that get cleaned with soapy water.
All that gunk would of gone back into the air intake of the engine.
