Suspension questions

I have a 2020 TG with only 756 miles on it. I have added the DK Comfort lift kit and it has made a difference in the ride and the steering. However, to me it still seems to ride rough and I'm thinking that I just need to put more miles on it to get the suspension to get broke in and loosen up. During the DK install the instructions said to relieve the air pressure in the rear shocks, mine does not have air shocks so I'm guessing that those were on earlier models. I do have an adjustable pre-load on my rear suspension which I have adjusted to my weight. I'm thinking about backing off of the pre-load a little until the suspension gets broken in to see if that helps with the ride. I mainly ride 1 up so I might have the pre-load set too high.

I don't know if this is your first trike but they do ride rougher than two wheelers. Over time I guess I kind of got used to it. Here are some things to check / try.

Riding solo the setting is 0 up to 190 lbs, then 1 at 200 lbs followed by 2 from 210 - 220 and on up to 7 for 270 lbs. Also reducing the pressure in your rear tires will help. 20 - 22 lbs will noticeably improve the ride. And last but certainly not least getting DK's 14" ProAction trike specific shocks will be even better . . . but you'll have to get another lift kit from DK for use with these shocks.

Something else that will help, lower the air pressure in the rear tires to around 22#, These are car tires that are not holding up much weight. play around with the tire pressure and stock preload. To get it dialed in. The trike is never gonna ride as nice as a two wheeler.

As mentioned previously, the 14" pro action shocks from DK will help, based on all the reviews. I'm saving up for those now ..

Thanks guys, I reduced the tire pressure to #22. I must have misread the settings in the owners manual or I set it for 2 up riding but I checked it and it was set on 10 turns. I reduced it to 4 and will take it out tomorrow for a check ride.
