Love Jugs Wiring Question

I spoke with the service department today and they said that the accessory plug under the side cover is hot when the ignition switch is on and off when the switch is off. It is also hot when the ignition switch is in the accessory position so I could turn the engine off and keep the fans running if I want.

That's right!! Whenever I return home and my engine is hot, I leave the trike at the front of the carport with engine off and fans running with the switch in the accessory position. Helps to cool it down quicker before moving it to its spot at the rear of the carport where there's less air flow. Plus, the quicker it cools down the sooner I can get it all settled in with the cover on a cool bike.

Well I talked to two different dealers today and neither one of them could tell me where the damn plug is located. One of them asked me if I had the service manual which I do so he said look it up, WTF. I told him that the service manual just shows the wire color and routing for all of the plugs, it doesn't give the physical location. So, tomorrow I'm riding down there and tell them to pop the side cover off and show me where it is. They both acted like they never heard of Love Jugs before.

Here's a snapshot from Harley's Installation Instructions explaining and showing an image of it's location behind your right side cover. Not sure if this has any more detail than what's in your service manual?

They're not being overly helpful because you're taking money out of their pockets by not using HD Parts and their labor rates. ...Wish ya the best on your project. 20200410_191317.png

Thanks for the info. I found the connector but it's a totally different type of connector than what comes on the Love Jugs so I can't use it. Unless Love Jugs comes up with an adapter I might be stuck with cutting off the connector and wiring it directly to the battery. If I do that then LG will come up with the new adapter. I do have an old 4 pin to 8 pin adapter and since they don't have any 8 pin connectors on the TG maybe I'll cut off the 8 pin and use it as an adapter to go straight to the battery. That way if LG does come up with the correct adapter then I will not have cut off the 4 pin connector on the LG's.

I have their adapter but it's a 4 pin to 8 pin adapter. The accessory plug on the 2020 TG is a 3 pin connector. I used my old 4 to 8 pin adapter and cut off the 8 pin connector to connect it directly to the battery and everything works great. Now, if Love Jugs makes the correct adapter I can replace my jumper with the correct one and go directly to the accessory plug on the TG.
