This ABS crinkle finish plastic makes great trim coverings.
ligning up rear access panel and vents for releasing heat and cutting down on the suction at the rear of trike.
Turn signal, lights, cruise controls assy. from the car fits pretty good.
Startin to work on the harness. Trying to cut down some of the unnecesary wiring in the original harness.
A clever reuse of existing switches and their mounting, will definitely save time when rewiring.
Got the gas tank mostly welded up. Had the metal cut and bent at the metal shop. Need filler neck and vent.

Got the tank all welded , fitted and pressure tested.But I have to remove the pump to slide it in the frame under the back seat.
Flip up fuel door from the escort and the filler tube and vent.
The latch for the left side slide out pannier.
Disasembled the parts off the frame and flipped it over for welding the bottom side.
Looking good. Lots of work but keep at it. It all adds up to a one of a kind trike when you are done.
Wire wheeling the frame today and weighed it. Complete frame with front forks is 320 pounds!

Got the frame painted. What a pain. cleaned and etched the frame with phosphoric solution, cleaned with paint prep solvent, primed with epoxy primer, spray painted the blue with Rustoleum, and brushed on the white as it will be covered with white sheet metal. The blue came out a bit rough even though it went on well and was glossy. But when it dried it deteriorated a bit. Oh well I'm not making a show bike worth $20,000. I've got a bit over $3,000 in it now.

Got the belly pan on. Forward chunk is fiberglass sheet from home depot The rest is plastic sheet from home depot. Looks like the bottom of the space shuttle!
Installed front shield. Will put rubber sheeting around the moving parts of the forks to keep out rain, rocks and things that could impale me!
