A few more shots. The rear brakes are run from the brake pedal through a parking brake cable to the power brake unit in front of the rt. wheel with a lever to operate the PB. Buddy the dog is demonstrating the remote steering. The tube down through the steering head shows the 2 in. of trail. There will be more framework on the side to make it more triangular to the rear wheels. Theter will be triangular wedge shapped alluminum carrier boxes on each side to give it the F 18 look. There will be a "dustbin" fairing around the front wheel.Name: trike_15.jpg

well on your way! hard to tell from the photos.. but it looks like your connecting rods for the steering are not parallel?? im not sure but i think if they are not parallel and the steering stems are not parallel it will bind... easy enough to check..

They are parallel. Optical distortion from the lens.

Got the floating brakes built and installed. All this stuff will be removed and finished welding and painted before it is done.

Installed shifter and linkage. Was easier than I thought. Shift pattern is the same. Used a tube to extend the shift tube and dropped down from the transmission with a small extension.

Then I replaced the steering rack with a straight rod. No need for the lasge bellows on each end so I used bicycle innertube to brotect the inner tie rod ends.Name: trike_001_8.jpg

Been working on the subframing for the rear fenders and hood. The sticks give an idea of what shape the alluminum side cases will be.Name: IMG_1290.jpg

Looks like you are getting close to a ride! Looking at framing for body panels that are starting to cover engine/trans acess, do you lift the body up and over to remove motor or trans?

I'm trying to get everything fitted and welded on top and then remove the drive train which will drop right out and then flip the frame over to get at all the bottom welds and fit the tin bottom. Then clean and paint the frame and put everything back together. Still have to build the gas tank and the wiring harness , headlights, windshield, front fairing, sheet metal covering and Aluminum cases.

Now comes the time consuming part of a build. Take your time and get it right for you.

installing headlights, turn signals, mirrors, instrument panel and windshield support. Also a mock up of the Dustbin fairing on the front wheel. Having trouble bringing up the pictures may have to start over.

That's a clever idea for the headlights and turn signals.
