During the last several months, I've completed several mods and today I got a chance to ride long enough to test them. I'm extremely pleased. I installed the Tri-glide front end, T-max auto tune with wideband O2 sensors. SE compensator, SE clutch, Andrews 30 tooth trans pulley. The trike rides and handles perfect. Plenty of power, especially in city traffic, no exessive heat and handles great. I'm ready for Spring.

You sure did put your time to good use through the winter! You are definitely ready to ride now.

I've been considering the Thunder Max for a while now. Does it come with a pre-loaded base line map configured to your bike's engine build, intake/exhaust? I don't own a laptop and am leery of trying to load changes to the map as I wouldn't really understand what I was doing and would undoubtably kill my motorcycle!!!

Congrats on your mods. Sounds as if you have the bike just about the way you want it. Every time I think I'm done "improving" something else comes along that i just GOTTA HAVE!!!

Greydog the ThunderMax does require a base map. I think you can get one preloaded if you contact the company.

Greydog,
Take a look at the new(well almost) self tuner by Revolution Performance. I've read tons of pages on it on the CVO forum and it seems like it does everything you need without having to use a laptop. I've got one on order for my new trike. No major mods to it but you do have to add some extensions to the exhaust so I thought I'd go ahead and add it on. It will also adjust if you add different performance items later. Anyway, I think it's worth a look. By the way I have no dog in this hunt, just spent a lot of time reading about it.
Kentucky Blue, I didthe 30 tooth install my self. Wasn't too hard, just time consuming and requires a large socket which i also had to purchase.

Greydog, The Thundermax with Autotune is probably the best mod I've done to date. I purchased mine with the basemap already installed. It replaces your factory ECM and requires installation of new O2 sensors which come with the unit.

Yeah, nice mods and all that, but what have you done that is really useful. Things like cup holders, GPS and Mp3 integration, powerports for your heated coffee cup and such.
Seriously, nice mods, all for the better running of your ride. Sweet job!

Thanx for the info. I Emailed Tmax and they responded with just about all the info I needed. I'll probably buy one next month. Sounds like what I need to finish up my engine mods. Geeze....I thought the boats I've owned were expensive to maintain but I could buy a pretty nice runabout for whet I've invested iin this scooter in the past two or three years!!!
