leak
i had a leak down there, it was the gasket behind oil filter adapter .that your oil cooler hoses hook to. this has a habit of getting loose when filter is changed.Originally Posted by Jack Klarich

Never thought of that, the drips have always been on the right side of the bike, guess it could have migrated.

Now that the shocks are done ... I've been going nuts on the leak ... finally found it ....
Apparently (talk about a fluke), I got a piece of an elm seed in the clamp to the rear connection on the oil filter adapter. Not sure how that happened.
My buddy Don came over just to say hey while I had the front jacked up to allow my fat b$tt to get under it. Don has had some blood pressure issues lately and I didn't think he was allowed to drive. Anyway, I was trying to follow where the oil was coming from while we were visiting. When my track went up. I asked Don to look around where my little plastic rod came up. He noticed it was right at the rear clamp on the adapter. I climbed out, removed the clamp and saw the piece of seed. I've never seen anything like it, so, I removed the seed, tightened the clamp. While I had it up, wiped the oil off with alcohol. I hope this is the last of the leak.
Good news, the underside is really clean now and because of the alcohol, Chinese Virus free ....

Can't ... you won't give me your new address so I can send your knife or your touchup paint either ... and yes ... I always have at least 4 bottles of 90%, usually more. I use it to clean stuff and prep stuff for gluing or painting. I buy it when it's on sale, had 8 when the Chinese virus hit ... now have 5 ... funny thing, I haven't used it on the Chinese thing ...
