Duracell Battery
I have just over 45K on my trike and have had it 3 and 1/2 yrs. I have always kept the battery on a tender. I have decided to be proactive and install a new battery. Rather than go back to the OEM battery, I am looking at a Duracell battery and checking to see if anyone has any history with them.

If you've always kept it on a tender, you can safely get another year and possibly two out of it. You'll know when it's starting to go if you pay attention to your starts. They'll get slower and longer. Then it's time to change. But I thought I read somewhere, although for the life of me I can't find it to prove it, that Duracell comes from the same base battery company which I thought was East Penn/Deka.
The only reason some people are still alive is it's illegal to shoot them.

Steven, I have no experience with Duracell Motorcycle Batteries. But going into last summer's riding season I had serious concerns with my 3 year old oem battery's starting power, especially after I added several new electrical accessories. I definitely noticed the slow dragging starts and decided to change it before long distance traveling during the dog days of summer.
I chose the battery below and I've been throughly satisfied. If you're not dead set on the Duracell, add this one to your review list......Wes

The longest I've ever gotten out of a Motorcycle battery was 9.5 years, but it was with a Lithium. Typically I get 4-5 years out of a battery, and I wait til they start getting a bit draggy on the starts.
I've use This YUASA Battery a couple of times and been pleased with it. I like that it's made in the USA too.
I've no experience with the Duracell, nor heard of any either.

I got a duracell a few months ago, and so far it's working fine.The only issue I had was when i let it sit for a week at the beginning of this COVID thing. It didn't *want* to start, but I made it. Since you say you keep yours on the tender, you won't have that problem. They are pricewise in the midrange, and the warranty (3yrs) is pretty normal.
I'd say go with it.

East Penn is the largest battery manufacturer in the US. There are very few manufacturing facilities left and East Penn private labels for quite a few retailers and I've heard they make the H-D batteries.
That's the one I used on my Harley as well. Big Crank, Deka, same'o same'o. I wish I could use, get, find a 500 Big Crank or Deka for my Indian. Polaris uses a tiny battery in those big machines. I did find a Duracell so I'll be finding out just how good or not they are. Got 3+ years out of the OEM which is a Yuasa.

East Penn made Die Hard Batteries also
OEM HD batteries are made by East Penn. The only difference between the Deka battery for Harley's and the OEM battery made by East Penn is the bar and shield logo
