Took my Jeep to the Chrysler dealer today to get a real done. Basically it was a refreshing to fix something in the tune that made it hesitate for the first couple minutes after starting the diesel.
Anyway, part of the real was a loaner while they did the refresh. My loaner had SiriusXM and was selected to "The Message". ... Okay, wasn't a big deal, I drove the loaner 13 miles all day ... from the dealer to my house, from my house to the dealer.
Why didn't you manually tune it to another station ?

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
If S/XM went away, would the world miss it ?

On the trike, I just stream I Heart radio for free. I love the classic rock channel!
I have Boost mobile & they don't charge you data to stream music.
2017 Harley Davidson Freewheeler (107 cu.in. vivid black).
Instead of paying for multiple radios, I use portable docking stations. I have docking stations/antennas mounted in my car, bike, and at home. I just move the radio head from one docking station to another. One radio price with the ability to take it with me regardless of which vehicle I use. I also play the cancellation game each year to get a low price..... And never, ever give SiriusXM your credit card information. Insist on a paper bill. Even though it costs $2 to do that it will save hours of hassle, frustration and anger. Don't ask me how I know, lol
I do have a Lynx Portable Radio and several docking stations (complete) ... hmmm ... the wheels are turning. Might do the "See where I can put the docks thing on the vehicle" game.
I did miss the sat radio when I hit the desert today, had to play music from my cell phone via bluetooth, but, that works well. I have like 50 albums on my cell and I just let them shuffle ... or, I do an audio book from audible. Maybe I'll dig that all out and be ready for when I get the obligatory "we want you back" email.
Well, bought wife a new Forester last year, so I had a 6 month free trial with that, which I continued. My first XM was in 2002, I had in short time two recievers, my second was left in my police car, the primary I bought a life sub with Nascar, still have it. I only pay for the Forester's now.
Make Courtesy Your "Code of the Road" too!
Well I've been with XM for many years. Haven't had any problems, but each year they try to raise your cost and I just challenge it and they give me another discount. I also have a Veterans discount. I have four radios.

I think I might go for the docking station route ... I would need to do the aux input cable on the tri ... that worked well after I finally got Harley to get one that worked and install it correctly ... but there was lots of drama involved to get to that point.
If I could figure another way ... I'd do it.
I feel fortunate that the Goldwing has an auxiliary plug pre-installed in the left fairing pocket. My docking station lives in that pocket with the antenna Velcro on the dash. Before sirius radio on the bike, I could only get stations booming Mexican Rap out of Mexico in some of the more remote rides.....

We also have the XM radio but just in my truck.
When we leave the house its on any station we want to hear at the time.
60's 70's even 50's music an also listen to radio classics on 148.
We listen to Gun smoke an Dragnet stories on there just old radio stories I grew up listen too .
Some old mystery stories.
On our way to Calif or just to the store when I'm driving Miss Daisy around lol.
When we take trip like were on now to Minn and then to Calif its comes in handy instead of listening the farm reports .
On my bike I have enough stations when I'm just cruising. Other wise my pipes are my Music lol.
Just my 2 cents...……………………..Rick
Welp ... they made me an offer I couldn't refuse ... started the SiriusXM back on the Tri for $50 for 12 months ... If they can keep that forever, I'll see it forever.
