On my 12 , I got the aux plug . I use the phone app and plug in.

You just got to threaten to cancel, and hold your ground to get a good rate with XM.

AOL had a reputation for being difficult to shut off back in '09 when we moved south. They'd keep billing you. The last time I called AOL I asked if they minded if I recorded the call and they said "No problem". I told them I wanted to cancel my service and it was cancelled with no arguments. Just for the record, I wasn't actually taping but they didn't know that. If you have trouble getting a radio service to stop charging you maybe this tactic will help.

That's something my dod would of done ... he was a master at getting what he wanted. He once bought a Chrysler New Yorker and a week in, the wiper motor froze and the wipers didn't work. They ordered a new motor and he told them he was heading to Brooklyn, NY in a month, they told him they would have him fixed up way before then.

He called weekly and was told it had shipped. The day before he was to leave he showed up and was told it hadn't made it yet. He said, "Fine, take the motor off that car, (pointing at the one on the showroom floor) and install it in mine."

They told him they couldn't do that. He again said, "Fine, just please sign this." and handed them a letter from his lawyer (just a golf buddy, but, a lawyer) stating that the dealership knew my Dad was leaving the next day and had assured my dad he would be taken care of before he left. Since the part had not arrived yet, even though it had shipped three weeks ago, the dealership accepted all responsibility for my dad driving to Brooklyn and back in an unsafe vehicle.

Thirty Five minutes later, my dad drove away with a new wiper motor ...

My year contract was to expire on Dec 23rd. On the 22nd I called the number they gave me to cancel. The recording said they recognized my number, and saw that I had the $60 per year promo package. Would I be interested in continuing for another year if I got the same rate?

That was my intent anyway, so of course I said yes. Good for another year without even talking to a real person.

I have a SkyFi1 that I put a life sub with Nascar on back in the days (2009) when lifetime meant as long as that receiver worked, it could be transferred up to 3 times, and still can as that SkyFi1 has never hic-cupped. I bought that when a previous sub of 5 years expired. Last year, in 2019 I bought the wife a new Forester, I have that as my "second" receiver at $9.99 a month. I used to have a SkyFi1 as a second, but I took it out of service and put the Forester in it's place when I bought it. Long ago I collected docking stations, antennas, etc off Ebay as well as two boom boxes and even a few extra receivers sellers included. One such receiver had a never ending sub on it, but after several years in my police car it met with an accident. I have a NIB SkyFi2 but I'll just leave the life sub on old faithful.

I've had XM for over 6 years. They increase the yearly rate every year. All I do is call and ask for the same rate and they give it to me. I really don't have a problem with them and I like all the radio stations they have. I have it on 3 of my Cars and my Trike for a total of 4 radios.

Like i said before, I just put their discount coupons/mailings in my shredder ..

I just use a thumb drive with my music in it....Its against my up bringing to call Sirius' Or for that matter ''anyone'' every 6 months or so and beg for some thing cheaper...
