    Default Larger fuel tank

I have a 1996 gl1500se with a dft trike kit, looking threw the owners manuel it claims the fuel tank holds 6.3 gallons of gas. Today I filled it up and put in 7.6 gallons. Do these kits come with larger tanks or what

The OEM tank is not changed on any conversion that I know of. However there are auxiliary gas tanks available for several brands of conversions.

Have you ever been able to put that much in before?

Was this your regular station? Was the State Weights and Measures seal intact? You hear reports periodically about stations around the country getting caught "adjusting" the pump electronics to record more than actually delivered. Yours looks like 17% more than expected. With gas prices so low and fewer people driving, the operator might have been trying make a little extra money. Not accusing, just sayin.

I'd take a good look to see if you have an auxiliary tank. I don't know about the DFT trikes but my CSC has a 3.5 auxiliary. It is gravity fed both to and from the main tank and I have only one fill loction. Gotta fill it slowely so the fuel flows into the auxiliary..... Jim

Welcome to the Gang from Western Colorado.

I'm guessing the station is ripping off customers.
