I bet a nice set of Glass packs would fit under there . I don't think MT uses the original mufflers when they convert , Correct me if i am wrong . my friend on his MT has reg car like mufflers. check Auto Zone etc. for some short mufflers
I am slowly getting my 97 Goldwing Trike setup and running like I want. The PO had owned it since 04 and other than changing the oil didn’t do much to it. It has straight pipes, no mufflers at all on it, that is the way it was when he got it back in 04. Some folks like the sound but my wife and I would prefer it to be a toned down some. Some of you guys may be able to tell me, do I need to find some Goldwing mufflers or what to go on there? This is a Motortrike kit.

I love the sound of Glass Packs on my Chevy truck but I want the trike to HMMMMmmmmm not BLOOOOBLOOOOBLOOO.
Maybe some of the builders will jump in and tell what they use when they do the triking.

One of our GL friends down in Dublin GA went to the muffler shop and bought a set of generic glass packs that they stock, for cheap. They were small and sounded great on the 1500. I bet they would fit well in the trike. His sounded like a V8 at idle and barely louder than the stock Honda mufflers off-idle. I don't know if he still had his collector box but I think he did and that may have helped a lot too.
