The constant puppy sitting is not doing either of us any good. I get it, I snatched her away from her two brothers and her mom and dad. Her two brothers also got snatched away, so, it would of begin just mom and dad anyway (yep, I do feel a tad guilty about that. So, it's my job to provide her with everything. Security, food, water, and yep ... Love.
So, I decided it was time for Kira to get used to the portable dog run and me to get some little things done that were driving me nuts to have not installed. I can't stand it when I have stuff to install and don't get it done. I left her in the yard for about 10 minutes while I backed the trike out and set up the dog run. When I got back, she was ready to explore something new.
I gave her some toys, a teething chew and a bowl of water. Stayed with her until she started to play, then did the trike work. I think she's a little jealous of the FBG, every time I would leave to work on the trike, she would wimper. Broke my heart, so, I moved the run out of the garage, it was level in there, closer to where I was. She whined for a minute, then decided to play.
Whining a little
Playing a lot
All told, I worked on it for about two hours. Was considering wiping it down, but, the Human of my God Dogs had a Doctor's appointment (Women's stuff, so like in the Navy, I didn't ask, so I can't tell) and she asked me to bring Kira over for a play date to entertain the God Dogs. Kira went to meet the God Dogs like the third day. I wanted her to be socialized to other animals and she has 2 dogs and three cats. The human hasn't been out of the house since 3/22/20. She's been working from home and either ordering delivery or using Swan's. She does have to go to her office once a week to drop off and pick up mail, but, I don't count that.
So, I picked up the tools, and her toys, dumped the water bowl, wasn't much left since she decided to drag it all over the dog run. I picked her up and put the dog run in the garage (hoping to use it a lot until she grows into the harness I got her and she can be on the lead that's there. (Yea, she is spoiled rotten, I don't think there are any more "mint green" puppy things left on Amazon. Here in happy valley, we are very limited when it comes to pet stuff, especially the fancy stuff).
I thought ... I'll just hold her and drive the trike into the garage. Big Mistake .... Huge. She was not ready for that. I killed it, and sat in my chair holding her until she calmed down, about a minute. I forgot about the whole get them used to the noise thing. Put her back in the yard, put the trike away and got her to get myself cleaned up. She's fine now.
We went for a ride in the Jeep, she's very much used to her car seat, got fuel and headed over to the God Dogs. Kira loves Jillie, she is the youngest and likes to play. So Jillie and Kira played in her yard and Sassy, the older one, and I sat on the porch bench and watched. Us two old folks laughed and enjoyed the show.
Kira has two speeds, "All Ahead Full" and "Dead Stop". Between the bike work, and the play date, she only was able to play for about an hour.
"Dead Stop"
