    Default Kira's new Conundrum

So, as I mentioned, she's teething. I did find some "Testing Rings" made from Chicken and Flour that are totally digestible. She loves them and gets a new one every morning, after her breakfast. It usually lasts her until about 3-4 pm. So that's about 10 hours of no teething on me.

This morning we did our business outside, came in and had breakfast. After she ate, I gave her the daily "Teething Ring". She ran around he room looking for someplace to hide it. She's hidden them before, but, if I walk by where she hides it, she will move it to another spot.

As you can imagine, in a room that's 12' by 12', there's not a lot of hiddy holes. Along with the size, I've put 6" PVC pipe along the perimeter of the bed (did this so Harley wouldn't be able to hide from Mom when I went out of town. It's come in handy keeping Kira from hiding from me as well ), so that area is not available.

This morning after searching the room, she realized there were no new places to hide it ... so she brought it onto the bed and showed it to me and whined.

Kind of pathetic, but, I felt sad for her. I lifted the edge of the pillow and she hid it there (not sure why it was okay I knew where it was). All's well that ends well. Now I need to find a new hiddy hole for tomorrow.

Yes indeed ... She is a lot of work and has seriously cut into my trike time, but, She has also filled a "Harley" sized hole in my heart. She'll never replace him, but, she does put a smile on my face most of the time ... just the goofy stuff she does.

Monday night she woke at 1:30 am to go potty ... it was raining, pretty sure she had never seen that before ... LOL ... She was trying to "bite" the raindrops ... my phone was in the house ... would of made a great video ... LOL

I have to say, only about 1/3 of the nights does she get up to go potty ... the rest of the time she sleeps from like 8:30 am until 5 am. For that, I'm truly grateful ... I'm too old to not sleep.

That reminds me of my little Sheltie, Ella's first time in the rain. She did the same thing biting at the rain. She is a really smart little girl but a goofy pup.

And I agree, Ella has filled a hole in my heart but she will never replace the spot in my heart for my Sheltie, Cheyenne, whom is still with me, just not physically.
