Power Vision Auto Tune

I got a new tune from Dynjet for the set-up on my engine. I downloaded the tune to the PV and flashed it to the bike's ECM. Now I am doing the auto tune runs and want to be sure I am doing it right (I have watched the Dynojet video). I did an auto tune run with the new tune and saved it to a new slot in the PV then flashed it to the ECM. I did a second auto tune run and saved it to the same slot, overwriting the first auto tune then flashed it to the ECM. I am assuming you keep doing auto tune runs and overwriting the previous auto tune and then flashing the new auto tune to the ECM each time until you are happy with the results and finished with auto tune. Is this the correct way to do it?

I won't over write the previous tune, just in case something is wrong with the auto tune you just flashed. Just so you don't have to go all the way back to the beginning. You can erase and save your original and the new tune to your computer, utilizing WINPV. Make sure you have the latest PV update.

I totally agree with not overwriting the previous tune until you have copied it to a safe place. That way you can always go back should something go wrong. And sometimes things do go wrong. It's software and just the slightest voltage change can cause odd things to happen. Normally never happens but it can. I save all my tunes on a thumbdrive which can easily be reflashed. Now I don't have a Harley so my tuning is done a little different, but saving previous tunes is just good practice no matter the bike brand.
