When doing the conversion, I installed the champion triple tree rake kit which included the 1" fork extensions for the the existing forks that came on the motorcycle. I wasn't real happy about the extensions. They're a solid spacer, so to change to fork oil, the entire fork has to be removed and reinstalled. I was thinking that maybe replacing what I have with TriGlide front forks might be an option. This way I can eliminate the spacer so front fork servicing is much easier. I'm looking at Harley part numbers 83800-09 (left side) and 83801-09 (right side). As far as I can determine, the difference between the forks that I currently have and the TriGlide forks are the dampening valve, spring and fork tube. Maybe the TriGlide forks are longer and have a heavier spring? I assume they are the same diameter as the current forks that I have? Has anyone done this or have knowledge of the TriGlide front forks?
