You said a 2001 Monarch II? No screws. Do they look a little like either of these? As I recall, small notch directly in line with tire valve for flat screwdriver.

That's the wheel I was thinking of, I never looked close at one, did not know about big nut, but I saw it was ASA too.

thanks Lee that is the wheel so I guess it just screws off counter clockwise?
