Got my cast taken off of my hand today. Been laid up for over 6 weeks. Now I just need to get a little more strength for pulling the clutch and some clear riding weather and I can go for a ride. Yay, me.

What, no required physical therapy? That was worse that the 6 weeks with my ankle.

Good one Mikey. I had a tendon cut and wrapped under my thumb joint to make a cartilage for it, a bone taken out and a redo of a carpel tunnel surgery. Dr is giving me a month to do my own rehab and if I don’t reach specific goals then he is sending me for therapy with the warning that they would make my thumb stretch out. I used to have pain in the joint 50% of the time and now it is gone (except for stretching pains) so I am pleased with my progress.

Good for you on your own physical therapy. Those therapist can make you cry.

Well, yeah, sometimes. My niece just retired from being a physical therapist (makes me feel old). According to her, many patients are reluctant to do therapy because of the initial pain. A case in point is my buddy that wrecked his Honda 750 40 years ago and didn't do the physical therapy that was offered and still can't bend his left knee much. Hindsight is always 20/20. Don't be a dummy.
