Just found this site so I'm cruzing around. Still own my 06 Streetsglide but it not's going to be going anywhere soon. Got hit by a cage so soon I'm to get a trike. Been looking at the Mystrey but can,t seem to find any owners t give me their take on that trike. IRS? Tilster? Could be interesting.

Ron I checked your trike out Dam it’s nice looking.
Got a few questions for you if you don’t mind.
Did you demo many other kits?
If so which ones?
Did you build it yourself?

DFT makes other styles than the one that RON has, they make a conventional looking one also. You can get a kit from DFT and do it yourself ( at least you still could last year. ) Not the cheapest kit ( maybe one of the most expensive ones ) IND rear axle no solid rear end. Rides like a dream. I have the DFT Goldwing (see it in my gallery in the Garage section ). DFT can add REV to the HD , all tho I feel it is not a necessity. I have ridden the Champion ( a lot of bang for the buck ) not as smooth as the DFT . I rode the Motor Trike thought the ride was harsh ( was an older unit ) might have something to do with it. I understand the Road Smith is a good ride. Ride as many as you can and not just in a parking lot . The driver seat seems to not get as bad a ride as the co-rider gets , so ride 2 up if that is what your normal ridding will be .Location of the installer and reputation of his installing ability is almost as important as the kit u choose. A great kit installed by a hack is worst than a cheaper kit installed by the best installer. All this is JMHO of course.

While I considered Champion, Lehman, Trike Shop and MotorTrike kits before deciding on DFT, I did not demo ride any. In retrospect, considering the drastically unfamiliar feeling I had when I first rode my trike, I doubt I would have been able to make an informed decision on the ride quality or handling. Now, after 3000 trike miles, I'm better equipped, but it's a little late.

I was originally leaning toward the Trike Shop conversion, but I finally chose the DFT "Smoothie" because of its distinctive styling. (Most of the other trike kits all look the same.) IDS and the large storage space (9.7 cu ft) were also factors.

I did not do the conversion myself. All of the aforementioned kits have quality parts. The important thing is the workmanship of the mechanic and shop who do the conversion. The closest DFT "dealer" to me was some guy who had built only one trike, working out of his garage. There was no way I was giving him a $10,000 deposit and my motorcycle with the promise he'd get the job done. That was the problem with the independent shops -- they all wanted at least $10,000 up front. I decided I'd rather deal with a Harley dealer, even if it ended up costing a little more. As it turned out, Lancaster Harley-Davidson, who did my conversion, did a super job in less than two weeks, and I know they'll stand behind their work and be pretty flexible in the event a H-D warranty issue arises. They're real good folks and a pleasure to work with.

I am very pleased with my DFT, and I'd recommend their conversion to anyone.

Mystery is just fine as we have built about 60 units for them and have not received any complaints. We do more Mystery than all other brands combined.
I do not sell Mystery! I just build them for all types of people so do not consider this an endorsement or advertisement...
