converting a muscle sportster
Hello trike folks and friends
need some advice...recently purchased a monster sportster...100ci S&S Prostock..super G carb...600 cam...way to strong for me...wanted to de tune down...unfortunately can't be done...wanted to convert with a Frankenstein kit..and 14 deg raked front from Chopper
Supply. Is my only option to sell the muscle bike and start over

One thing that seems to resonate with almost every trike rider ... More Power! ... LOL ... you got a beast, if you make it a trike you won't have that issue.
I can't speak to other issues that might rear their ugly heads as I've never built a trike. I have seen many good looking Frankenstein trikes. I guess my only concern would be the same ones I would have with souping up a car ... Is the rest of the car/trike able to handle the increased power.
I think I'd do some research, reach out to conversion manufacturers and tell them what you need/want. Maybe a conversion that would work could be available, maybe it would be cost preventative, seriously, if you have a huge bag of money to spend, anything is possible.
After that, you can make an informed decision.

Unless you just like meeting people on the side of the road while you wait for a repair, I would look for a buyer !

Welcome. Seems to me that one of the mfgr’s used to sell kits for sportsters. I’d go Blaine and check them out. Failing that, you could probably make an old Servicar work (1) if you can find one and (2) if you’ve got the time and $$. Good luck!
