Front Wheel Bearing Failure

2 part answer, if Maxwell is like me he probably popped the seals off and repacked the bearings with some better grease ( the grease in most of these bearings is pretty weak looking IMO)

As far as replacing the front bearings @ tire time, probably will as long as the wheel is off, I do not like surprises

Before repacking new wheel bearings, do you clean out the original grease for just palm in the new grease until it's thoroughly in the bearings?

No, it is a different bearing. I have not had one apart yet but Kevin @ D K Customs has I bet he has a number

Yes i clean out the old grease and check the inner races, I rinse the bearings in hot soapy water and blow dry before packing. If you are careful in removing the seals they can be reused again, look closely at the sealing lips for tears or irregularity's
