Action camera

Looking for suggestions on an action camera like a GoPro or similar that has a vibration eliminator built in, I've been using my phone with terrible results, plus not very user friendly, maybe I'm asking for too much, but a remote control or voice activated camera that would make it easy to start/stop video or take a pic , trying to find a button is probably not very safe while driving, if it also has an option for a remote mic for travel comments, plus chargeable when using / driving ?

If there is such a thing that meets all your requirements I bet it won't be cheap. But I like what you are after as well. I've got my hands full already. Don't need to cause more problems by taking my eyes off the road. Although it seems 90% of the drivers out there do it all the time by the way they wonder all over the place.

I purchased 2 less expensive action cameras more or lee entry level. Akaso all sorts of accessories came with it. Just getting to know how to use it . I use one one the front and one on the back.[/SP]

I think GoPro started with image stabilization on the Hero 5. Might have been earlier, not sure. I bought two of them from eBay for like $300 that had been "Authorized Dealer refurbished" with a 1 year warrantee. They work great and are water proof. The 5's also will accept large capacity micro sd cards. I got 4, 64g cards on eBay (new) for like $75 and a dual battery charger and two batteries (new GoPro) for $50. Also found a remote that starts/stops both cameras recording with a touch of a button for $60.

Deals are available if ya look. Had these for about 2-3 years now. Still going strong.

I use ContourHD cameras. Not much good mounting on the Harley. Too much vibration. But great mounted on the helmet and they don’t look horrible. Almost natural mount it on the side of the helmet and take excellent footage. I have been using them for years. Helmet and rear on my other brand motorcycles. Tried them on the back of the Harley and way too much vibration. I am going to get a GoPro for the rear of the Harley. I’ve seen footage of other people using GoPro’s mounted on Harleys and stabilization is fantastic. Definitely going to get a GoPro. Either a hero7 or the new one hero8. The biggest difference between the seven and eight is that the lens is replaceable on the seven and the eight is now not replaceable.

You're opening up a HUGE can of worms. I did tons of research and ended up buying the "Insta360 one R". I only wanted to buy one camera. I have it mounted at the left windshield screw with a Rik Rak mount. I have, in the past, started and stopped recording while on the freeway... but nevermore!! Now I always stop somewhere to start and stop recording. Even though stopping is very simple with a push of the button. Most cameras are restricted to recording times by battery life. I bought an extra battery for mine. Short recordings are better, smaller, and easier to handle in post editing. Remote mics only work if you have your camera mounted on your helmet. I didn't want to do that so I use a Tascam recorder and sync the audio and video later. Insta360 has iPhone and Android apps for remote starting and stopping. It has very good stabilization and the images don't shake a bit. You can charge it while using it if you want to run a power cable to it.

Insta360 cameras are shipped from mainland china. I think GoPro is also made in china but more readily available in the U.S. Whatever road you choose to go down you will have to commit to it. If you go with the fender/handlebar/helmet mount multiple cameras then you will have to edit and splice videos in post. I like the 360 because I can mount it fixed, then choose all my angles in post editing.

I use a Akaso Brave camera bundle and faring mount from a veterans CNC shop, it seems to work really great for us so far.
