I'm new here and can't find any info on removing the baffles from my cobra 909 twin slip ons.

I got the screws out but I cannot get the baffles to budge. Only have a couple hundred miles on them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to TrikeTalk! Why not just leave those baffles alone? Those I’ve heard sound pretty darn good.

They are way more quiet than I had hoped for. They sound similar to the stock when I bought her. I want to remove the baffles and install the Thunder Torque inserts.

I can’t help with the baffle removal. If you haven’t removed the cat, that will add a little sound. That being said, I ran TTIs in my Fatboy and now in my Freewheeler. You can’t go wrong. The price is reasonable and they work well.

Hi Von and Welcome to Trike Talk

Those baffles fit pretty tight in those mufflers. Spray some WD40 in , let it soak a few minutes, You need to find something like a broom handle or a wooden rod to shove inside and twist and pull on the baffle. There aint much to grab hold of on these mufflers;)

Thank you very much! I'm gonna try again today after I do my 3 hole oil change.

I have searched and searched for a video but I cannot find one for these particular pipes. I saw plenty for the neighbor haters but those baffles are completely different.

With All the screws removed..Heavily sprayed with penetrating oil ....Get in the there with a medal wire with a hooked end like a spring puller and put a vice grip on the wire and and hit the vice grip with a hammer towards you...Hope this helps...

Von, check with Auto Zone and Oriellys for rental of a slide hammer set. These sets typically have a 3 jaw puller ( you can make it pull inside and outside) and many have a seal puller attachment you could reach inside and hook the inside edge of the baffle. The seal puller looks like this
