Hi. I have a new to me 2015 and I'm trying to get familiar with the Boom stuff. I know, good luck. My question is about the Navigation screen. When I start it up in the Navigation mode, I select Map, and for a brief second it shows the map of my location. Then the screen goes dark and it only shows the road in black. I'm guessing it should show the map info without having to select a destination? And hoping it's just a set up problem with me. Thanks, Rich

On the 2017 ,even without a destination you show a complete map ( vehicle icon , streets , rivers, parks etc. ).

Double check your display settings and if nothing changes , you may have a problem.

One more thing is check your zoom level, sounds like it might be really zoomed in.

Thanks! Will do. Didn't think about the zoom, good idea.

Just a thought if I read your concern right...Select Home > Setup > Colors...and check if you are in the Night Colors mode the screen will be dark full time. Select 'Automatic Colors' and a sensor in the speedometer will change the display from Daytime to Nighttime automatically.

Thanks. Idiot me had it set on the night colors. Switched to automatic and can now see my map. Yeay!
