Default Khrome Werks 2+2 narrow sweepers.

So I got new Handlebars for my 2020 Triglide the other day. Got the Khrome Werks 2+2 narrow sweepers. $145 with tax for the bars. (300519). Had the shop put them on at $105 an hour. The Harley Davidson labour book said it would take six hours. So that’s what they charge me, six hours labor. Labor., plus tax, plus shop supplies came to $706. So, The total cost For the bars and the labour was $851. They did not use any wire extensions. Gave it to them at 10 o’clock in the morning and they called me at 1:45 in the afternoon and said it was done. Three hours 45 minutes. Was it worth it, yes!The stock bars gave me pain after about 25 minutes in my left shoulder blade in my neck. I am 5’8” 180lbs. I live with it for 6000 miles. Could not do it anymore. So I splurged. It was worse than that before I got the drivers back rest which reduced the pain about 80% maybe even 90 but it was still there and bothersome. The initial ride from the shop to my house, about 24 miles, was questionable whether I like them or not. They were higher than I expected and closer to me than I thought. Didn’t really know if I would like them or not. Today I rode the bike 190 miles I was gone six hours. Absolutely no pain in my neck or my shoulder blades whatsoever period. Super enjoyable. Steering the motorcycle was 100% easier. A 90 degree turn was like nothing. Almost like a knife through butter. After about 70 miles, I got used to the height and the position closer to me. Now they seem natural and I really like them.and I’m really happy I got these Khrome Werks 2+2 sweeper bars.

Congratulations on the new bars. I felt the same way about the OEM BARS! I switched mine myself in 2014 I was ready to sell the trike till I swapped the bars. I installed 2+2 wide sweepers. Love them.

I've changed the bars on many of my H-Ds both two and three wheel. Only bar I've used is the Wild One Chubbys and really like them but they are about twice the price of the Khromewerks so I've been thinking about trying the KWs. Only questions is do I want the narrow or the wide sweepers.

How much of a difference is there wide sweepers vs the narrow sweepers. I too must change the bars on my 2020

Also what is the rise on the handle bar, is it 10"?

I put Narrow 2+2 on my 2020 and love them. You would need some long arms for the Wide 2+2.

So, what is the height from corner to corner? 10 inches or more? I just don't want to put $800 in to something, just to fine out that did not resolve the problem. Thanks

Here are the 2+2 narrow bars next to the stock (2010) bars. About 2" higher. You can't see the sweep back from this angle so I included the after installation pic to see that. I assume it is similar to the 2020.

Thank you. That is exactly what I am looking for. I want the bars higher but not above the fairing and for them to come back towards me. Thanks again

Default Before and after photos of wide Sweeper install

Check this Thread out for before and after photos of when I had the Wide Sweepers installed on my 17 TG.

    https://www.triketalk.com/forum/thre...!-Photos-added

Had these installed to alleviate numbness in my thumbs due to prior neck surgery.

Thumbs do not go numb any more and it is much easier to steer.

    Hope this helps.

    Bob

Default Wide ones have different grip angle

Pictures here show the straighter grip angle and additional width that gives more leverage. These bars required changes though a longer Clutch cable 09' all else worked fine. To help eliminate back and shoulder pain Khrome werks sweeper bars seem to be the answer for a lot of people. I chose the wide ones for my wrist that is stiff, and the sweepers for my two inch tank lift to make sure they would clear the tank. These really worked out for me good luck on your choice. ride safe Fred

I could have probably did it my self, but being a new bike I wasn't ready for the challange. I can do everything else. One of these days I will dig into that bat wing faring and see what it is all about. Then I won't be so reluctant to get in there. Looks like you have a 2019 triglide. Probably the same batwing as the 20. Any tips you have for me if I tear into it someday?

Probably the same batwing as the 20. Any tips you have for me if I tear into it someday?
Just got rid of my 16 and have 20. I have taken the fairing off both. It's really simple. Either take off the auxiliary lights or put socks over them. I prefer taking them off, so nothing is in the way. Remove windshield and put back center bolt hand tighten. Remove four screws on the inner fairing side. (Always remember the longer screw goes in the top. Extremely IMPORTANT) Remove the center windshield screw, tilt outer fairing towards you and remove plug to main light. Lift fairing and you everything exposed to do whatever.

to take off inner fairing. Where you just removed the auxiliary lights, the are four nuts/screws (two on each side), that need to be removed. Than lift up on inner fairing and I think I remember there are seven plugs that need to be disconnected. You now can remove inner fairing and get to handlebars and front forks if you need to.

I don't know if this helps or it is what your looking for. But goodluck

Here is one of many videos I've watched. Very informative. While this one is specific to Heli Bars the general information is the same for any bar.

That is exactly what I wanted to know. I’ve seen a lot of videos on how to do it on older models and they are basically the same as what you’re telling me. If I ever need to readjust my handlebars or just check the torque on them or do any other work inside there now I’m pretty confident I can get in there. Thanks for the information you’ve been very helpful
