Decided that I might spend some money on my 2018 tri glide. I have already raked the trike, jims air cooler system, higher handle bars, stage 2 with V&H pipes, progressive rear shocks and have changed the rims to chrome.
My options I am thinking about are: independent rear suspension, widening the whole rear end and putting on wider tyres, easy clutch, upgrading the motor stage 3 or 4.
I am in Australia and I have seen a trike that has been widen in the rear end with wider tyres and they tell me the trike handles so much better.
Is there anybody that has done this and does it handle much better and more stable on the windy roads.
I sometimes find my trike wants to almost tip over when fanging hard around our windy roads. Have lifted the inside wheel off the ground a few times going too hard and am wondering if widening the rear would help prevent this.
Any thoughts, suggestions etc on this issue would be greatly accepted.
Thanks - Deb for Aussie land.
