M8 Freewheeler Exhaust Installation

I'm looking for a full exhaust install video for a M8 Freewheeler and I can't seem to find one.

Anybody have a link to one or can provide some tips on a m8 freewheeler full exhaust r&r?

I'm curious if you can do it without a jack or not too.

I wouldn't recommend doing it without a jack. Not enough spacing to move your arms where they need to be is my thought. Last one I did was up on jack stands and even then I felt confined. Jack stands and jack can be bought pretty cheaply at Northern Tool.

Welcome to TrikeTalk. I use a homemade set of ramps ( 2x12 boards). The ramps will not be in your way. The tedious part is the rear bolts for the muffler hanger. I always loosen the clamps and spray that connection with penetrating oil. Next slide or tap the mufflers rearward, if possible. You can access those bolts a lot easier that way. Good luck!

Another option is what I did, just remove the trunk and then everything is in plain view with nothing in the way.

It sounds like a big job but really isn't, its not a technical challenge and takes 30 minutes tops. Six bolts in the trunk, one under each side cover, one electrical connector. Remove them, tilt the front of the trunk up and lift it off. It weighs a good 50 pounds; my wife helped me, all 5'2" and 115 pounds of her and we got it off and on ok.

Let me know if you decide to go that route and I'll send more detailed instructions and torque values.

And you spent a lot of time on the ground in cramp quarters. Not my cup of tea! Jacking it up is the way to go. Can also use auto ramps for the rear wheels, if you don't want to use a jack and jack stands. The job is tedious but can be done.
