Anyone Trick or Treating out your Way?

So far no now out here....I really can't see many parents letting their kids out this year......

Nope, I have not had any kids here for the last five years. We have lots of kids on our cul-de-sac

We never have any. I live in a gated senior community. We did have a Halloween Decorated golf cart parade though.......... Jim

I live way out in the country about 6 miles from town, with no neighbors and no street lights. I have no external lights (I have spot lights but I don’t turn them on) on my property either. As a result, I haven’t seen a trick or treater in 4 years. I can’t say that I miss them either.

A few door knocks , but just ignoring them this year.

So far i had about 50 trick or treaters come by, But i think they are done for the night...

I was really surprised that many were out... ...

Nope...old folks neighborhood. Only exterior lights on my house are on my lighted flag pole. I pulled the plug for tonight only.

i will be checking out the Blue Moon later..from the backyard.

Nope, We live off the main road on our own property too far for kids to walk.

Ended up with about 75 kids......And all of them were very respectful and with a thank you ....What my Wife did was the night before was to put 6 assorted bite size candy bars in zip lock bags ....And we sat out side laid the bags down so they wouldn't have stick their hands in a basket and said to the kid's take one bag each, So they were happy..

And so were we.......

The governor of New Mexico sent alerts to smart phones telling residents to stay home.

Going to the store tomorrow to stock up on left over trick or treat candy...... Jim

Never get trick or treaters at our place. Too far out of town...

We haven't had trick or treaters at our house in 15 years or more but this past month we moved into a small town and we had about 25 come by in costumes. It was a fun time watching the little ones. Of course I had to dress up too for my grandsons.

My daughter took grand daughter out she said it was interesting how people handed things out in order to keep everyone safe. Then there was a woman on one street corner handing out some little cartoon type booklets that were very strange/inappropriate. After a few parents looked at these booklets it didn't take long for an officer to show up in tell her she had to stop. I think she was from some type of church? I looked through a couple of these, definitely not for small children.

For the first time we didn't even buy any candy this year. No one came to the door or did I see anyone on the street. Sad event for everyone. I look forward to see the kids in their costumes.

My youngest son's block has a lot of little kids & the entire block had a great party for them & everyone set up tables by the curb for candy collection.

Everyone sets up fire pits in the driveway and it's very social. 90% mask wearing and keeping a safe distance, while still having a fun time. We were lucky here as Halloween is normally cool & drizzling, bit last night, 55° and beautiful.

It is not that difficult, but we'll worth it for the kids.

Nope ! Helps being in the middle of a 50 acre pasture .................. That's fenced and gated.
