Went for a putt yesterday afternoon, and fixing to go on a putt in a few minutes.
Yesterday was a brisk 45 degrees, but it is going to be a nice 60+ today.
Great way to start 2021.

Hit 41 here on the Cape, went for my usual (weather permitting) New Year's ride. Now I have a heated jacket, so not too bad. Knees got a little chilly though.
Put about 100 miles in yesterday on the annual New Years Day Ride here in TN. Even got myself and my Trike blessed for the coming year. It was 70, sunny and windy as hell. Lol.
2016 Tri Glide, More DK than HD. Just shut up and ride.
2018 Tri Glide Ultra Classic. Vivid Black.
I don't know Kevin, I go near you to Georgia a lot since my family is there and I've been colder riding there in 50º weather than I am in 30º weather in Utah. That humidity just BITES! I think the coldest I've ridden in was leaving Albuquergue at 5:00 AM headed to Georgia and it was 23º when we left for the first hour or two. Wasn't as much fun as riding in a sunny 60º day.
To answer , go here https://www.dkcustomproducts.com/tri...ner-plates.htm & watch video. that is my new 20 being worked on. I first got interested in this about 2 yrs ago when Kevin discovered the prob. on his trike. I decided this would be my last bike & as such for me this was a saving piece of maint., before it was a big prob.. My 20 only had about 8500 on it & the plates were already showing marks. In the video there is a part that shows how much better the new plates are compared to original. Also the bearings installed are quality, not from Korea. Do some searching & maybe you can find DK's original post on his bike where it shows the wear not only on the plate but on the axle splines as well. years ago HD wheel bearings on 2 wheels were good for 100k. Not I wouldn't trust them for 50k. At a rally 3 yrs ago a guy I met his front wheel bearing went out on the way home, less than 20k. HD is using CHEAP parts these days. My 03 2 wheeler had over a 100k on it before front wheel bearing was replaced.
Now when front tire is replaced the foreign bearings are replaced with a quality bearing. If you are still getting a new ride every couple years, you should be OK, if not I would consider replacing the rinky dink HD plates with DK parts. My dealer SM acknowledged, they were weak plates when I asked about them. Best of luck & safe riding.
