I hope your wife is recovering and you don't have to pay a penny.
Back around the end of July my wife started having some problems with her lower back. After a few visits with her doctor and a few visits for therapy, it was determined that she needed surgery on her back and referred her to an outside specialists. So in mid November she had surgery. She had cages put in at joints L3-L4, L4-L5 and L5-S1.
They call them cages but to me they are spacers. They remove the discs and install a metal spacer instead which allows the two bones to fuse together. Her medical coverage is through Medicare and Tricare. Today we get a breakdown of the charges and the bill total was a little over $447,000. So far Tricare has paid $76,000 on the bill.
I hope Medicare comes through.

I hope your wife is doing well. in October of 2020 the doctor decided my wife needed the very same surgery, scheduled it for November but then his assistant doctor could not be there so they moved it to Jan 2021, now because of covid they have moved it to March 2021 and they wonder why people get hooked on pain meds.
