Installed the Khrome Werks 2+2 Narrow Sweepers - w/pics
I took the internet's advice and bought the new bars. Thought I would post some pics that might help someone else thinking about installing these. Here are the before & after pics of a "level" view of the bars. I tried to get the far hand grip as even as possible with the near one.
I pretty much followed the video posted by ultrafxr. It was a big help. The wires had plenty of slack, but the brake and clutch lines were pretty tight. I had to work with them quite a bit, a little at a time.
I had a little trouble with the "trigger finger"switch cap because I didn't understand the instructions at first. You have to pry up a little on the outer/leftmost edge and the cap should slide off to the outside/left.
The control modules are held by a ratchet-type clamp. It wasn't obvious how to disconnect it properly (until I got it off - ha ha). The screwdriver is pointing to the clamp. You actually need to pry up a little between the top and bottom straps and it will pop right off. It's actually offset a little so if you pry up on the side opposite the screwdriver its a bit easier. As the video said - take your time.
I measured from the rear face of the fairing before and after and you can see the reach is indeed 2 inches closer. The bars are up about as high as they will go. They can come down a bit and therefore a little closer.
I hope this helps if you are thinking about getting these bars and/or installing them yourself.
