The center stand can be removed, or on some conversions if there is no interference issues with the running board mounts, they can be left in place. We normally remove them on our conversions, but some installers leave them in place due to it simply being more work. As Jim mentioned, it does make a good jacking point.

I noticed they usually get removed, but I have seen the center stand used to jack the front as that heavy rear will settle down, my thought is lighter if just leave it off and use a jack at home.
